I am sitting with my mum on a shaded bench on the U.S. Capitol grounds. Before us, the Capitol dome framed by a Carolina blue sky.
After a breakfast or Egg McMuffins and home brewed coffee, me mum and I attended church at Saint James’ followed by a walk through Eastern Market, a quick cuppa at Murky, and now we are sitting in the shade on a wooden bench on the Capitol grounds. Next step: The National Museum of the American Indian.
I have never witnessed a more perfect Washington day. There is a breeze they call tradewinds were we in Hawaii. The birds sing, the flowers bloom, and the sun dapples.
