20050421_benedictxviw90.jpgIt is intereresting to read the new pope’s ministry and mission, “Benedict XVI has long been concerned that the West risks the possibility of a new Dark Age,” according to George Weigel, who also has an interesting piece on the real Benedict, who “has a nicely self-deprecating and intellectually fine-edged sense of humor.”

    It’d be hilarious, if people just weren’t so utterly fucking stupid.

    Basically what he’s saying, is that “we know we can trust the value of Christian values, because they’ve worked all this time”, when in fact they led to hundreds of years of dogmatism and ignorance in the Middle Ages and are currently used to ease justifying just about anything in American politics.
