I have to say Chris - your conservative turn is troubling. When it comes to the environment - I suggest looking at it as a long term investment (we know how you conservatives love money) and realize that the damage being done now WILL affect people in the future. The reduction of biodiversity affects every species.
So think about how you would feel if you knew someone was going to steal your retirment savings. Today’s environmentalists are like the retirement savings watchdogs (another job that is probably thankless right now, but is important for the future)
