I want the best bio imaginable. So, I enlisted Janna Taylor. She carefully interviewed me and is going to write my bio-as-career-arc.
She looked at my previous bio and shook her head. To her, bios should not be a CV in essay form. It should be cohesive, focused, and goal-oriented.
She will of course use my resume-in-essay-form and my CV as reference points, but she also sees that it is very important to use the bio to explain not just the details of your job but the your life’s work and passion.
If you don’t have passion for what you do, you really don’t need a bio. Stick with the one-pager for now until you discover your passion.
And wouldn’t you know it. I actually have a life’s work and passion.
Stay tuned for details.
