Hail the size of road salt came down on historic Santa Fe today.
David and I stood under cover outside the Nambe store. It ricocheted and pummeled cars for about ten minutes. Then stoped.
While it was at its most intense, I made a point of stepping into it. I raised my arms to it. I felt the intense cold sting of crushed ice falling from the sky into me. Into my hair, down the neck of my jacket. Pricking into my exposed skin.
I would have regret had I not done so.
As an aside, I am always so grateful for and humbled by the opportunity to attend these family weekends.
